This is normal and most blades will do this. This is a good saw blade. One blade that does not rust are the red Diablo blades. If you like Marathon blades then you will like this one. The reason I gave it four stars is because the blade will rust after being exposed to moisture. They come in various sizes and are coated with a red coating that lasts for the life of the blade and keeps the sides of the bade from rusting. I only buy Diablo blades now and would recommend you consider giving one of them a try as well.
